72 : UNFORTUNATE DEMISE

I saw a Raccoon this cold morning
Big, stout and beautiful.
Magnificent fur and all,
Lying on the road it was -
Swept by a rushing car -
Dead.

Vultures and Crows swept down on it.
Scavenging every edible parts they can.
Laughing, wailing and shrieking they are,
As they feast on the poor Raccoon.

Oh how fleeting Life is!
In this turbulent times.
The beautiful, the rich, the strong; don't matter.
For in a second, life could be snuffed out -
By an unfortunate -
Demise.
