71

In a room filled with spinning machines
A couple of desk and several chairs -
Are placed in the middle.
I sat myself on one
And started scribbling these words.

Listening to the spinning and humming -
Of the machines.
While scribbling these words -
While sipping Jim Beam -
I'm waiting for my laundry to be done.

70

Engulfed with darkness -
When will I ever see?
The light to show me -
What brightness means.

69

You! Oh Mediterranean!
Whom the Euphrates wants -
to flow into.
The Tigris too is racing it's way -
to you.
Even the Nile with it's seven heads is waiting -
To be accepted by you.

Oh please accept them Mediterranean!
Let them flow peacefully into your wide -
basin of sea.
For they are all my rivers.
Who has nowhere to go -
except to thee -
Mediterranean.

68

My head got heavy
I laid my head on my hand -
Then I fell asleep

67

A recluse chose
to live out of society.
A loner's life -
Away from peers -
A reclusive life -
Away from friends -
Away from pressure -
Away from family.

A lone reed
among the prairie -
A lone lion with all the freedom -
A lone ranger on a quest -
A lone wolf roaming the night.

Oh how is it to be -
a recluse?
Living a reclusive life
to live alone within a world -
Of freedom -
A world within the society -
Of jackals and vultures - and friends.
Whom all the recluse alienate -
For the sake of peace.

66 : FREEDOM

I shut the door close -
And came Freedom.
Has come every time -
I shut the door closed.

65

Oh little hot hands -
Do massage this tired body
As I stay still beneath you all.
Soothe this tired soul please do -
With those hot steaming hands -
That comes by strands -
Of a thousand or more -
Strands.

64: BUCKETS OF WATER

Buckets of water fell from the sky -
Whole night - Whole day.
Drenching the earth -
Turning it to swamp -
Sending the frogs jumping -
Frenzy into higher land.

63

Kyoko and Nachi,
Two extraordinary beings.
Both have each a golden heart.
Sisters in flesh and sisters in faith.
Beautiful both inside and out.

Possessing Godly qualities
Agape - The brotherly love.
Sheep like personality they have
Lamb like traits they exercise
All from the almighty Jah from above.

Always ready to help
A brother or a sister in faith in need
With loving kindness out of their -
Golden heart they show
Agape love to all who they care for.

Prithee they are leaving,
To the west they are going -
To the land of the blondes and
Blue eyed people -
Called Germany of Europe.

Oh to see you both depart
On this journey of yours
Leaves us all in a morose state
Our hearts shed tears as we
Bid thee both adieu.

Missing you both would be an -
Understatement of how we will -
Feel when you're both gone.
A big loss for us;
A big loss for mitake congregation.

For all we know you're the beacon -
Of light and joy and fun.
Without you both things won't be the same -
But if Jah's will is for you to go -
To a foreign land where the need is great -
Who are we to complain,
For we are just His lowly servants.

With these humble words of mine,
I say Thank you for everything that we -
Received from you both and -
Everything you did for us.
We will never forget you -
And we can never repay you.

As this land is your home
We're sure we may meet again
In the near future or someday -
In some other time - we will.

May Jehovah bless you always
For He is our rock and our
Almighty creator.
May he bless your journey to
Bavaria and may He make it fruitful
May Jah grant you good health always -
For you to spread and share -
The elixir of life -
Jehovah's word.

62

One warm summer midnight,
As I went out for a walk.
With the feeling of invincibility
That accompanies youth.
So proud and mighty
I dared to walk where I--
Never walked before.

I walked with a nonchalant air;
Taunting the dangers lurking
Everywhere at night.
Armed with the confidence of youth,
With pride and might as my arms.

Walking straight without a map.
Venturing into unknown space;
Daring myself to go forward.
And explore to satisfy the demon--
The demon called -- Curiosity

Onwards walking along the dark;
Towards the unknown.
Hither, thither I went,
As it's such a fine lovely midnight.
Prithee I shouldn't have,
When I found out what's beyond;
That warm lovely midnight.

I tripped and I slipped
Into a slippery earth.
I found myself in a land of mire.
Shocked was I to find myself,
Being stuck and suck by the mire.

Horrific it was being stuck
In the spongy and mossy earth
With all my pride, might and youth;
I refused to holler for help,
As I struggle to get out of the mire.

I pushed, I wriggled, I tried to pull
Myself out of the mire.
But to no avail.
I needed help but the confidence of youth;
The pride, The might, The strength
I possess won't let me.

Then it hit me,
As i started to sink continually.
That I know for sure that ;
I needed a helping hand.
As I sink more and more to the bottom
Of the spongy and mossy mire.

With only my head visible now
Sinking faster and faster.
I made a final push to set me free--
But to no avail.
With my last breath I managed to scream
With a muffled voice the word -- Help
But it was already too late.
As I was already gobbled up,
By the -- Mire.

61

Simple is beautiful.
Oh, yes I dare say!
Natural is beautiful.
Oh, yes I dare say!

Unmade her face be,
Exudes charm and raw -
Beauty.
Natural beauty at its -
Best.
Exudes charm at its -
Rawest.

60

Oh, imp on my shoulders!
When will you get off?
You've been on my shoulders
For too long now.

Do get off I pray
So I could engage,
The ogre in front of me.
Without you to bear,
The God of Triumph
Might smile upon me.
Thus Victory would I gain -
Possibly.

59

Oh me! Oh me!
When will it be?
The time for me,
To return To the -
Fold of truth.
Whom the Almighty -
JAH had formed,
Since Jacob's time.

58

To admire a beauty from a distance,
Is like admiring the stars above.
Untouchable, Unreachable -
Like a ghost ship never reaching -
Its destination.

57

Broken valves,
Worn out gaskets,
Loosed thread faucets,
Rusting pipes,
Overflowing tap,
Unstoppable leak.

Seems irreparable.
For I don't have,
The necessary tools
And parts to mend -
The damages.

The tools and parts
Need a reasonable sum,
For I to acquire.
Which is impossible
At this point in time.

Can't send for the plumber.
Cause his fee comes so dear.
Which my wallet couldn't produce.

Woe is me to live,
With a broken plumbing!
Tap leaks virtually unstoppable,
Like torrential rain.

56

More than a decade has passed
Since the last time I saw her.
Memories got buried six feet under -
By time.
Feelings flew like pigeons away from
Their cage.
Forgotten she was or so I thought.

A chance encounter with her
On the information super highway.
Brought back to life a tsunami of -
Memories.
Which were buried a decade ago.
Now pigeons seem to be,
Coming back to their old abode.
Will I accept them again and
Try nurturing them? Or
Will I ignore them and send them -
Flying away?
Sigh... I wonder...

55

The foundations are giving way.
Getting weak and shaky everyday.
The beams are getting bent,
The entire structure is crumbling -
Slowly.

Oh! My Temple!
Reconstruction need it be,
Rehabilitation to the core.
Restoration comes so dearly,
And it takes time.
Both I can't afford,
At this point in time.

54: The Guardians of The North

They are the Guardians of the North
Protecting Ilocandia, the Lowlands and
The Cagayan Valley.
Protecting them from the Pacific Evils
Who wreck havoc for seven long months on
The Pearl of The Orient.

They are both tough and beautiful.
A lot tougher than the
Praetorian Guards of Rome.
More outstanding than the
Napoleonic Guards.
Forever Beautiful
Forever Loyal
Forever Intervening
Without them The North of Luzon -
Would be blown to kingdom come.
The Cordillera -
The Sierra Madre -
The Guardians of The North.

53

Women are like roses.
As roses comes with thorns,
So does women with their -
Flaws.

The prettier the roses are,
The more thorns they have.
The prettier the women are,
The more they -
Sting.

52

I dread most,
The monstrosity called -
The Human Society.
To live within it is a -
Curse.
It'll eat you alive if you have
Nothing to show.
It'll drag you down If you are -
Nobody.
It's a cruel world to live in.
And I'm a nobody,
Hence, I dread it most.
For I fear I might get eaten -
Alive.

51

It boils like magma within.
As hot and red as lava flow.
As bright and hot like a -
Glowing coal.
So fierce when it finally comes out.
As fierce and intense like an -
Erupting volcano.
So intense the ground shakes and -
Visions darken.
It's alright while it's kept inside.
But when it happens to come out,
The world will be -
Sorry.

50: Honey

Just like the honey
That sleeps during -
Winter.
Couldn't wake up unless,
Stroked by heat.
Old people have a
Hard time -
Waking up.

49

Can't go back to sleep
Cause sleep won't come to me.
Drank the elixir of sleep -
Still sleep won't come to me.

Sleep won't come anymore
Cause she just left me
Without saying -
Goodbye.
